Porozumienie, które wzmacnia już trwającą współpracę, dokument potwierdzający wspólne dążenie do tego, aby głód i bieda zniknęły z naszej planety. Takie jest znaczenie umowy o partnerstwie podpisanej 19 grudnia w Rzymie między FAO, największą agencją ONZ zajmującą się żywnością i rolnictwem, a New Humanity, międzynarodową organizacją pozarządową Ruchu Focolari. Porozumienie ma na celu promowanie, w szczególności wśród nowych pokoleń, działań i inicjatyw mających na celu wdrożenie projektu Zero Głodu, zgodnie z celami Agendy ONZ na rzecz zrównoważonego rozwoju 2030.
„Dziękuję za pracę, którą już wykonaliście z nami jako Nowa Ludzkość, współpracując dla celów zrównoważonego rozwoju (SDG), dla projektu Zero Głodu oraz dla przyszłości planety i świata”. Tymi słowami dr Yasmina Bouziane, dyrektor Biura Komunikacji Instytucjonalnej FAO powitała dr. Marco Desalvo, prezesa organizacji pozarządowej New Humanity wraz z niewielką delegacją młodzieży z Focolari. „Wiemy, że mamy tylko 10 lat na osiągnięcie naszych celów. To, co robicie z młodymi ludźmi z różnych środowisk, jest niezwykle ważne, ponieważ to oni są promotorami innowacji i zmian. Oczekują oni informacji, bez których nie możemy rozpocząć konkretnych działań, które chcemy wykonać[1] ”. „To, co dzisiaj podpisujemy – dodała – jest kolejnym potwierdzeniem, że tylko na zasadach partnerstwa możemy iść dalej. Już teraz bardzo doceniamy to, co Ruch Focolari i Nowa Ludzkość zrobiły realizując własne inicjatywy. Uważam, że razem możemy iść naprzód i konkretnie wspierać kraje i całą planetę w osiąganiu celów agendy 2030[2]”.
„Dziękujemy. Również dla nas ten podpis wiele znaczy – powiedział Marco Desalvo odnosząc się do podpisanego dokumentu – myślę o tysiącach młodych ludzi, którzy już pracują dla projektu Zero Głodu. Jest to również dla nas nowe zobowiązanie. Wczoraj myślałem, że Chiara Lubich, założycielka Ruchu Focolari, pomagała głodnym w Trydencie, myśląc o rozwiązaniu problemu społecznego miasta. Teraz jesteśmy na całym świecie i chcemy robić to samo i osiągnąć cel[3]”.
Współpraca między FAO i Nową Ludzkością trwa już od jakiegoś czasu. Przyjmując zaproszenie FAO skierowane do młodych, aby w szczególności zaangażować się w projekt Zero Głodu, podjęto wiele inicjatyw. Grupa młodzieży z 11 krajów opracowała „Kartę zaangażowania” Młodych dla jedności w realizację projektu Zero Głodu. (http://www.teens4unity.org/cosa-facemo/famezero/)

[1] Mr. Desalvo, thank you for the work that you have already done with us with New Humanity, working together for SDG’s and for zero hunger, and for the future of the Planet and of the World.
We know that we only have 10 more years to reach the SDG’s and at the heart of it is a huge youth movement, and what you do with youth of all backgrounds is extremely important, because the youth are the innovation, and the change and those who expect the information, and without the information we often cannot necessarily get to the concrete actions that we want.
[2] what we are signing today is another recognition that it is only in partnership that we can go even further. And already we very much appreciate what the Focolare Movement and New Humanity specifically has been doing with its own initiatives, so, together, I think that we can definitely go forward and really support Countries and the entire Planet to reach the SDG’s.
[3] Thank you. Also for us, this means a lot to us. I think of one hundred thousand young people that are already working for the zero hunger project. But this is also a new commitment for us, with this signing. We now really have to roll up our sleeves, to really get to work more and more so that, hopefully, before 2030 we can reach that there is no hunger in the world. I was thinking yesterday that Chiara Lubich, the foundress of the Focolare Movement – and New Humanity is the NGO of the Focolare Movement – started by going towards those who are hungry, in Trent, not thinking of the whole world, but thinking of solving the social problem of Trent. Now we are all over the world, and we want to continue, and reach the goal.
